Sanne N. van Munster et al. Incidence and outcomes of poor healing and poor squamous regeneration after radiofrequency ablation therapy for early Barrett’s neoplasia

Data were reviewed from a registry of 1386 patients treated with radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for Barrett’s neoplasia. Of these patients, 134 (10 %) had poor healing post-RFA, but after additional time and acid suppression there was complete esophageal healing. Overall, 74 patients (5 %) had poor squamous regeneration, which was associated with higher risks of treatment failure and progression to advanced disease.
