Clinical Experience with a Long Sliding Tube for Coloscopy

Summary

With a long sliding tube, it is easy to insert a coloscope into the ileocecal area. The long sliding tube holds the transverse colon in an ideal raised shape (convex curve) as well as the sigmoid colon straight. Inserting and drawing of a scope can be done through the long sliding tube. Therefore, it is possible to remove multiple polyps excised by polypectomy and replace a colonoscope by intestinoscope, magnifying endoscope and another coloscope with good image through this tube. The advantage of using a long sliding tube as proved in actual performances on patients.

Zusammenfassung

Mit einem langen Versteifungstubus kann das Koloskop ohne Schwierigkeit bis zur Ileozökalklappe verschoben werden. Durch den Tubus wird das Kolon transversum in einer idealen bogenförmigen Position gehalten und das Sigma bleibt begradigt. Dadurch lassen sich auch multiple Polypen in einer Sitzung abtragen. Das Koloskop kann gegen ein Intestinoskop, ein Endoskop mit Lupenoptik oder ein Instrument zum Fotografieren ausgetauscht werden. Die Praktikabilität der Methode wurde an Patienten erprobt.
