Asymmetric Cyanosilylation with a Polymeric Chiral Titanium Complex

Significance
Chiral linear polymer-supported Ti complex 3 was prepared and applied to the asymmetric cyanosilylation of aldehydes. Thus, the reaction of aryl aldehydes with TMSCN gave the corresponding cyanohydrins in 90-97% yield with 50-88% ee. Aliphatic aldehydes also underwent cyanosilylation to afford the corresponding products in 90-95% yield with 40-66% ee.
