Alkyl 3-dimethylhydrazono-3-phenylpropanedithioates and alkyl 3-dimethylhydrazonobutanedithioates are prepared by the condensation of the dimethylhydrazones of acetone and acetophenone with carbon disulfide and alkyl halides.
