Abstract

A new monoterpene glycoside has been isolated from the roots of Paeonia lactiflora Pall, and its structure was elucidated as (Z)-(1S,5R)-β-pinen-10-yl β-vicianoside on the basis of chemical, spectral and X-ray diffraction evidence.
