Abstract

This article will describe the numerous different skin-level gastrostomy devices that are now available for patients who have chronic gastrostomy catheters. An in-depth analysis of the indications, contraindications, and the various types of devices will be given. Specifically, the Bard Button, the MIC-Key, the Sandoz Gastroport, and the Wizard devices will all be described in detail. The various advantages and disadvantages of each device are given.
