Summary

The first results in a trial using the homœopathic drug Causticum to treat LSG in bitches are described. The evidence so far is that there is no clearly ascribable effect on the enlarged and lactating mammary glands, whereas behavioural disorders showed a rapid return to normal in all subjects. Treatment combining Causticum 30 with specific therapy for the mammary glands is suggested as a possibility.
