Significance

Helmchen and coworkers have developed an efficient synthesis of new phosphino­oxazoline ligands with a pentamethylferrocene motif. Those latter proved to be very efficient ligands for the palladium-catalyzed allylic alkylation of cyclic substrates. Five-, six- and seven-membered rings react giving comparable yields and in good to excellent enantioselectivities.
