Abstract
Intermittent claudication is a form of expression of advanced arteriosclerosis. When a person walks, more oxygen is consumed than the blood vessels can supply. When the disease is diagnosed in time, it can be treated effectively. A number of complementary procedures are possible: elimination of the risk factors like smoking and malnutrition, hydrotherapy, phytotherapy, homeopathy, neural therapy and others, as the overview shows.
