Synthesis and Synthetic Potential of Acylsilanes
Publication History
Publication Date:
17 September 2002 (online)
This review attempts a complete survey of the organic syntheses of the various classes of acylsilanes, with the emphasis on advances over the last few years. A general outline of the reactivity of these compounds is reported. Acylsilanes are potentially useful synthetic reagents, and their applications in nucleophilic acylation as well as sterically hindered aldehydes, and as versatile building blocks for the construction of polyfunctionalized molecules and natural products are presented. 1.
