The present Account summarizes our contribution to the chemistry of conjugated azo-alkenes in nearly twenty years of chemical investigations in this specific field. Beyond the findings reported here, the main target of this Account is to outline some of the reactive peculiarities which make this class of compounds powerful tools in organic synthesis.
