Zusammenfassung

Maschinelle Instrumentensysteme aus Nickel-Titan für die Aufbereitung von gekrümmten Wurzelkanalsystemen haben mittlerweile einen festen Platz in der Endodontie. Viele Systeme der ersten Generation wurden verbessert und den Anforderungen der Praxis angepasst. Der vorliegende Beitrag beschreibt die Neuentwicklung eines solchen Systems MFile® (Firma Komet/Gebr. Brasseler) unter theoretischen und praktischen Gesichtspunkten sowie erste Ergebnisse zur Anwendung der neuen Instrumente.

Summary

Rotary instruments made from nickel-titanium are an important tool for the cleaning and shaping of curved root canal systems. Many systems of first generation instruments have been developed and adapted to the requirements of dental practice. The article introduces a newly developed system MFile® (Komet/Gebr. Brasseler) from a theoretical and practical point of view and presents first results regarding the practical use of these instruments.
