The letter from Girelli et al. [1] represents a new and important report concerning the potential contraindications of capsule endoscopy (apart from the esophageal capsule). We can conclude that implanted cardiovascular electromagnetic devices are not a contraindication to investigation of patients using the M2A capsule endoscope (Given Imaging, Yoqneam, Israel).
