Summary
Patients are very nervous about the postoperative phase, and it is important that they are given detailed postoperative instructions both to reduce anxiety and to get the best possible surgical outcome. Instructions should include wound care for the donor area, hair washing for the first 2 weeks, pain control, how the donor area should look week by week, and possible side effects.
