Abstract
This chapter is an update to the earlier Science of Synthesis contribution (Section 14.12) describing methods for the synthesis of telluropyrylium and benzotelluropyrylium salts. Recent interest in this area has mainly focused on the preparation of dyes containing telluropyrylium and dibenzotelluropyrylium units.
