Abstract
This review is an update to the earlier Science of Synthesis contribution describing methods for the preparation of acid fluorides, and focuses on papers published in the period 2007–2022. Improvements sought to the scope of available methods are, amongst others, higher substrate tolerance, lower toxicity and availability of reagents, and compatibility with one-pot amide synthesis.
