Abstract
The association of disseminated intravascular coagulopathy (DIC) and various aneurysms has been well recognized. Such findings are usually encountered with unstable aneurysms or as a perioperative occurrence. Four cases of stable, infrarenal, abdominal aortic aneurysms associated with DIC in whom the coagulopathy was reversed by repair of the aneurysms have been previously reported in the world literature. This report presents two additional cases. The possibility that this association is more common than usually recognized is suggested.
