Bildgebung Kindertraumatologie – diagnostische Besonderheiten

Zusammenfassung

Die Kindertraumatologie ist ein wichtiges radiologisches Feld im klinischen Alltag. Häufige Verletzungsformen -meist durch Unfälle bedingt – stellen Frakturen dar. Die Befundung findet in der Regel nicht durch einen ausgebildeten Kinderradiologen statt. Deswegen ist es eine essentielle Voraussetzung für den Radiologen, die Stufen der Skelettentwicklung zu kennen. Aufgrund des unterschiedlichen Knochenaufbaus von Erwachsenen treten bei Kindern unterschiedliche Verletzungsmuster auf.

Des Weiteren soll vor allem bei Kindern auf eine strenge Indikationsprüfung und Dosisreduktion geachtet werden, um die Strahlenexposition so gering wie möglich zu halten.

Anhand von folgenden Beispielen sollen häufige Verletzungsmuster beschrieben und illustriert werden.

Abstract

Pediatric traumatology is a very important radiological area in daily clinical practice. Fractures mostly due to accidents are frequent forms of injuries. The diagnosis is normally not performed by a trained pediatric radiologist. Thus it is an essential requirement for the radiologist to know about the different stages of skeleton development. Due to the different bone formation of adults children have different injury patterns.

Moreover, in children, in particular, special care should be taken regarding dose reduction: radiation exposure should be kept as low as possible.

In the following examples frequent injury patterns are described and illustrated.
