Die generalisierte Angststörung – ein Update
Sorgen und Befürchtungen sind das zentrale Element der generalisierten Angststörung (GAS). Die GAS wird in der ICD-11 deutliche konzeptionelle Veränderungen erfahren, die insbesondere der voranschreitenden klinischen und epidemiologischen Forschung Rechnung tragen. Der folgende Artikel stellt ein „Update“ unseres Beitrags aus dem Jahr 2013 dar mit Ergänzungen um aktuelle Befunde und Entwicklungen.

Patienten mit GAS bedürfen einer spezifischen fachlichen Behandlung.

Insbesondere durch eine Erweiterung bzw. Verfeinerung des psychotherapeutischen Repertoires haben sich in den letzten Jahren die Erfolgsaussichten einer Behandlung verbessert.

Patientenerwartungen und -präferenzen sind bei der Indikationsentscheidung zu berücksichtigen. Dies beruht auf der Tatsache, dass die vorbestehenden Präferenzen des Patienten für eine pharmakologische versus psychotherapeutische Behandlung die Erfolgsaussichten deutlich beeinflussen (Befunde bei Depression [71]).
