Abstract
Early Vascular Aging, a concept describing pathophysiologic and clinical aspects of premature arterial stiffness and arteriosclerosis, has attracted attention in recent years. Early diagnosis and intervention is essential for prevention and postponing cardiovascular events.
Early Vascular Aging beschreibt das Konzept der frühen und vorzeitigen Gefäßalterung und der frühzeitigen Erfassung und Beeinflussung einer akzelerierten Gefäßsteifigkeit und nachlassenden Endothelfunktion. Im Sinne der primordialen Prävention ist das Ziel, die Entwicklung und Manifestation der Arteriosklerose mit allen Folgen für das kardiovaskuläre System zu verhindern bzw. zu verzögern. Dieser Beitrag erläutert die Methoden und Maßnahmen.
