Einer mediterranen Ernährung werden protektive Effekte auf das Gefäßsystem zugeschrieben. Dies konnte nun prospektiv in einer randomisierten Studie zur Primärprävention bei Patienten mit hohem kardiovaskulärem Risiko bestätigt werden.
