Editorial

First of all, we would like to thank Veronika Butterweck for doing an excellent job in the last three years as Editor-in-Chief to push Planta Medica towards higher awareness in the natural product and medicinal plant area. Most importantly, she strongly improved the handling of manuscripts so that authors can experience a rapid and fair review process of the manuscripts. Veronikaʼs tremendous efforts have been rewarded by an all-time high of the journalʼs impact factor.
