Haruhiro Inoue et al. Peroral endoscopic myotomy and fundoplication: a novel NOTES procedure

Technical feasibility study assessing fundoplication after peroral endoscopic myotomy. The short-term results in 21 patients showed that this novel technique has the potential to become a landmark development in preventing gastroesophageal reflux after myotomy. Nonetheless, further studies should focus on the long-term integrity of the fundoplication and the rate of gastro„esophageal reflux.
