In der restaurativen Zahnheilkunde gibt es zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, die den Stift im Wurzelkanal bedingen oder relativieren können. Ziel der hier vorgestellten differenzialtherapeutischen Aspekte ist es, dass wurzelkanalbehandelte Zähne – bei korrekter Indikation oftmals auch ohne Stift – langfristig restauriert werden können.
