In der CASSINI-Studie hat sich bei ambulanten Krebspatienten ein risikoadaptierter Ansatz in der Thromboseprophylaxe bewährt: Patienten mit hohem Risiko für venöse Thromboembolien (VTE) profitieren von der antithrombotischen Primärprävention mit Rivaroxaban mit einer Reduktion der VTE-Rate und VTE-bedingter Todesfälle. Zudem hat sich mit Rivaroxaban erneut ein Nicht-Vitamin-K-abhängiges orales Antikoagulans (NOAK) bei Tumorpatienten als günstig erwiesen.
