Für den Begriff „Schulfähigkeit“ gibt es bis heute keine allgemeingültige Definition.
Konsens besteht darin, dass Schulfähigkeit nicht bloß eine Eigenschaft des Kindes
ist, sondern sich im Zusammenwirken mit den Beteiligtengruppen entwickelt. Der vorliegende
Beitrag diskutiert die Entwicklung der verschiedenen Konzepte sowie ihre theoretischen
Grundlagen und formuliert Perspektiven für die Weiterentwicklung des Schulfähigkeitskonzepts.
Abstract
The term „school readiness“ is outdated. Instead, „school skills“ was introduced as
a concept but there is no generally applicable definition of this term. However, there
is consensus that school skills are not simply a characteristic of the child but rather
are developed in collaboration with the groups involved. Sometimes the concept of
school readiness is also referenced. This article discusses the development of these
different concepts and their various theoretical bases and formulates several perspectives
for further refining the concept of school readiness.
