Trotz chronischer Schmerzen gehen viele Menschen rigide ihrer Arbeit nach oder treiben exzessiv Sport. Das Verhalten dieser ‚Durchhalter‘ gilt aus medizinischer Sicht prinzipiell als erwünscht. Bei kritischer Betrachtung offenbart sich jedoch ein prämorbides Aktivitätsmuster. Physiotherapeuten sollten derart maladaptive Durchhaltestrategien frühzeitig erkennen. Für die Therapie eignet sich ein Aktivierungs- und verhaltenstherapeutisches Programm.
