Die regelmäßige und effektive Entfernung von Plaque ist eine zentrale Voraussetzung zur Aufrechterhaltung der Mundgesundheit. Als Mundhygienehilfsmittel stehen heute neben einer Vielzahl von Handzahnbürstenmodellen auch elektrische Zahnbürsten unterschiedlicher Funktionsweisen und Preisklassen sowie Zahnseiden, Interdentalbürsten und Mundduschen zur Verfügung. Ebenso werden verschiedenste Empfehlungen zu Putztechniken, Putzsystematiken und Anwendungshäufigkeiten gegeben [1], [2].
