Zusammenfassung
Während sich die Grundprinzipien der Osteosyntheseverfahren bei der Gesichtsschädelrekonstruktion in den letzten Jahren wenig verändert haben, fand durch Weiterentwicklung der Osteosynthesesysteme und -instrumente sowie durch die Implementierung der computerassistierten Chirurgie einschließlich der Verwendung anatomisch präformierter oder patientenspezifischer Implantate eine entscheidende Weiterentwicklung statt.
Abstract
There were no major alterations of the basic principals of osteosynthesis in the facial skeleton over the past years. Nevertheless, by the reason of further developments of the osteosynthesis systems and Instruments as well as by the implementation of computer-assisted surgery including the use of anatomical or customized Implants crucial advancements of the treatment can be seen.
