ZUSAMMENFASSUNG

Der richtige periinterventionelle Umgang mit Patienten, die unter einer Dauertherapie mit Blutverdünnern stehen, ist wichtig und wird in Zukunft an Bedeutung gewinnen. Von der Abwägung der Risiken einer Unterbrechung oder Fortführung der Medikamenteneinnahme, über die Überbrückung mit Heparin bis hin zum korrekten zeitlichen Ablauf müssen eine Vielzahl an Faktoren für jeden Patienten individuell beachtet werden.

Durch die steigende Lebenserwartung nimmt die Anzahl an Patienten zu, die einer dauerhaften Antikoagulation oder Thrombozytenaggregationshemmung bedürfen. Gleichzeitig steigt die Zeit, die diese mit einer solchen Therapie leben. Die zugrundeliegenden Erkrankungen stellen selten eine Kontraindikation für andere Eingriffe dar und so bedürfen mehr und mehr solcher Patienten einer Operation oder Intervention. Der richtige periinterventionelle Umgang mit Patienten unter Dauertherapie mit Blutverdünnung ist wichtig und wird in Zukunft noch an Bedeutung gewinnen. Dieses Thema betrifft alle operativ oder interventionell Tätigen wie auch die mitbetreuenden Ärzte. In Bezug auf die korrekte Vorgehensweise besteht weiterhin eine lebhafte Forschungsaktivität, doch auch unabhängig von einzelnen Substanzen sind zuletzt Behandlungsparadigmen in Bewegung gekommen.
