Zusammenfassung
Hintergrund Das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) initiierte 2016 die Open-Access-Initiative.
Open Access bedeutet, Wissen online kostenlos freizugänglich zu machen. Dieser Anspruch
setzt eine Digitalisierung voraus, die hochschulübergreifend professionelles Wissen
öffentlich macht. Dazu passt die Etablierung einer entsprechenden Online-Datenbank.
Ziel Mithilfe einer Online-Befragung die Erwartungen potentieller Nutzer an eine Volltextdatenbank
zu untersuchen. Mittels eines Fragebogens sollen Nutzerverhalten, Bedürfnisse, Notwendigkeiten
erforscht sowie Ideen, Anregungen, persönliche Einschätzungen und mögliche Vor- und
Nachteile erfasst werden.
Methode Durchführung einer Online-Befragung mit 20 Fragen, welche in vier Abschnitte eingeteilt
wurden. Geschlossene Fragen wurden deskriptiv ausgewertet, offene Fragen wurden mit
der Kernsatzmethode nach Leithäuser und Volmerg (1988) ausgewertet.
Ergebnisse Insgesamt 84,87 % der 337 Befragten zeigten Interesse an einer Volltextdatenbank
für Abschlussarbeiten aus den Therapiewissenschaften. Wünsche der Befragten konnten
in den Anforderungskatalog für die zu entwickelnde Volltextdatenbank aufgenommen werden.
67,95 % der Befragten würden sich ein Profil in einer Volltextdatenbank anlegen. Die
Vorstellung, eine Abschlussarbeit in einem Videoporträt anzulegen, wurde hingegen
von 36,50 % als nicht nützlich bewertet.
Schlussfolgerung Anhand der Online-Befragung konnten die Rechercheaktivität und die Wünsche an eine
Volltextdatenbank abgefragt werden. Die Nutzerakzeptanz kann erst zu einem späteren
Zeitpunkt hinreichend bewertet werden, mithilfe einer Evaluationsstudie.
Abstract
Background Parallel to the Digital Future Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Education and
Research (BMBF), the Open Access initiative was launched 2016. Open Access means making
knowledge digital free of charge and freely accessible. A paradigm shift is taking
place in the field of science including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech
therapy.
Objective To investigate the expectations of potential users of a full text database by a online
survey. By means of the questionnaire, user behavior, needs and necessities should
be clarified and ideas, suggestions, personal assessments and possible advantages
and disadvantages should be recorded.
Method An online survey with 20 questions divided into four sections was conducted. The
closed questions were evaluated descriptively, the open questions were evaluated with
the core set method according to Leithäuser and Volmerg (1988).
Results A total of 84.87 % of the 337 respondents are interested in a full text database
for theses in therapeutic sciences. The wishes of the respondents were included in
the catalogue of requirements for the full text database to be developed. 67.95 %
of the interviewees would create a profile for the full text database, whereas 36.50 %
of the interviewees considered the presentation of the thesis in a video portrait
as not useful.
Conclusion Based on the online survey the research activity and the wishes for a full text database
could be queried. The user acceptance can only be sufficiently assessed at a later
stage with the help of an evaluation study.
