Chronische Kiefer- und Gesichtsschmerzen im Fokus der Zahnmedizin
Chronische Kiefer- und Gesichtsschmerzen erfordern eine detaillierte zahnmedizinische Diagnostik. Basis ist das biopsychosoziale Krankheitsmodell. Die Therapie erfolgt idealerweise interdisziplinär im Rahmen multimodaler Konzepte und in spezialisierten Einrichtungen. Physiotherapeuten sind integraler Bestandteil dieser Teamarbeit. Auch für die alltägliche physiotherapeutische Praxis bieten sich Chairside-Tests an, um neuropathische Schmerzkomponenten zu detektieren.
