Ernährung in der Parodontitistherapie und -prävention

Ernährung ist ein wesentlicher Einflussfaktor auf die Mikrobiologie und Immunologie des Körpers. Damit stellt sie auch ein hoch relevantes Thema für die Prävention und die adjuvante Therapie der Parodontitis dar, das jedem Therapeuten bekannt sein sollte. Der Artikel beschreibt dafür die wesentlichsten Ansatzpunkte.

Fazit

Zusammenfassend scheint eine fleischarme, hauptsächlich pflanzenbasierte Vollwertkost unter Berücksichtigung von Vitamin B12, Omega-3-Fettsäuren und adäquaten Vitamin-D-Spiegeln eine sehr vorteilhafte Ernährungsempfehlung für Parodontitispatienten, sowohl für orale als auch allgemeine Gesundheit zu sein [22] [23] [48] [49] [50].
