This image is from a patient who had undergone laparoscopic-assisted total gastrectomy 2 years previously for low-differentiation gastric adenocarcinoma. A large and thick mucosal bridge was found above the anastomotic stoma. Reality is this shore, the ideal is the other shore. The bridge at least means hope and success, no matter where it appears.
