Medikamentöse Schmerztherapie
Die menschliche Schmerzwahrnehmung lässt sich gezielt mit Arzneimitteln beeinflussen. Das WHO-Stufenschema bietet eine Richtlinie, wann welches Medikament in welcher Kombination eingesetzt wird. Entscheidend für den Erfolg der Pharmakotherapie sind eine fundierte Schmerzdiagnostik und die richtige Kommunikation. So sollten sich Physiotherapeuten gegenüber ihren Patienten nur mit Bedacht und Fachwissen über Medikamente äußern, um deren Wirksamkeit nicht negativ zu beeinflussen.
