PET/CT gehört in der Onkologie weltweit zu den wichtigsten diagnostischen Verfahren
bei der Ausbreitungsdiagnostik, der Therapieplanung und der Therapiekontrolle von
Tumorerkrankungen. In Deutschland hat PET/CT nur sehr langsam und unter großen Auflagen
seinen Weg in den vertragsärztlichen Bereich gefunden. In diesem Beitrag werden die
zugelassenen Tumorerkrankungen (Lungenkarzinome, Kopf-Hals-Tumoren und Lymphome) und
deren Grundlagen der Ausbreitungsdiagnostik aufgeführt sowie die formalen Aspekte
der Genehmigung und Überprüfung der Abrechenbarkeit beim PET/CT beschrieben.
Abstract
PET/CT is one of the most important diagnostic procedures in oncology worldwide for
the diagnosis of the spread of tumors, therapy planning and therapy monitoring. In
Germany, PET/CT has only very slowly found its way into the general patient care,
and under great constraints. This article lists the tumor types for PET/CT which are
GKV-approved (lung carcinomas, head-neck tumors, and lymphomas) and describes their
basics of staging as well as the formal aspects of approval and review of billability
for PET/CT.
