ZUSAMMENFASSUNG
Der Begriff „Krise“ wird in der Psychiatrie nicht einheitlich verwendet. Eine ausschließliche Verwendung von Krisenkonzepten und -theorien bei Menschen ohne psychiatrische Diagnosen oder nur leichten psychischen Störungen wirkt allerdings stigmatisierend und steht dem Recovery-Gedanken entgegen. Angesichts der fraglichen Validität psychiatrischer Diagnosekonstrukte wird in diesem Artikel geprüft, ob eine psychiatrische Akutbehandlung auch schwerer psychischer Erkrankungen mit einem Krisenkonzept möglich ist, und welche Auswirkungen dies auf die Behandlungspraxis hätte. Das Beispiel der Verwendung von Krisenkonzepten beim Home-Treatment zeigt ihre grundsätzliche Anwendbarkeit in der Behandlung akuter Krankheitsepisoden.
Abstract
The notion of crisis is not used consistently in psychiatry. The exclusive use of crisis concepts and theories in people without psychiatric diagnoses or only mild disorders has a stigmatizing effect and contradicts the idea of recovery. In view of the questionable validity of psychiatric diagnostic constructs, this article examines whether acute psychiatric treatment of severe mental illness is also possible with a crisis concept, and which effects this would have on treatment practice. The example of the use of crisis concepts in home treatment approaches shows their general applicability in the treatment of acute psychiatric episodes.
