Erhält ein Patient die Nachricht, dass bei ihm eine bösartige Erkrankung vorliegen könnte, ist das eine sehr sensible Kommunikationssituation, die leider in der Praxis durch eine babylonisch anmutende Begriffsvielfalt und -verwirrung gekennzeichnet ist. Daher soll hier zunächst versucht werden, die in diesem Zusammenhang benutzten Begriffe zu erklären und zu sortieren.
