Osteopathische Behandlungsaspekte bei COVID-19

Es war das Ziel der Autoren, die sich mit der Studie befasst haben, den potenziellen Einfluss von osteopathischen Behandlungen (osteopathic manipulative treatment, OMT) auf jeden relevanten Aspekt von COVID-19 zu untersuchen, um die präventive, kurative und palliative Rolle zu bestimmen, welche die Osteopathen in dieser Pandemie und ähnlichen zukünftigen Situationen spielen könnten. Anmerkung: Die Abkürzung OMT bezeichnet im englisch-amerikanischen Sprachraum sowohl die parietale und viszerale als auch die kraniosakrale Osteopathie und damit sämtliche Behandlungstechniken, von der Gelenkmanipulation bis hin zu biodynamischen Herangehensweisen.
