Periphere und zentrale Sensibilisierung durch das Immunsystem

Das nozizeptive System und das Immunsystem dienen primär dem Schutz des Körpers. Zwischen beiden Systemen gibt es enge Beziehungen. Einerseits beeinflusst eine Reihe von Immunzellen und -mediatoren das nozizeptive System. Zum andern steuern neuronale Vorgänge auch Entzündungs- und Immunprozesse. Die hochkomplexen Wechselwirkungen erklären, wie es zur peripheren und zentralen Sensibilisierung durch Immunprozesse kommen kann.
