A Lot of Room for Improvement: Primary Prevention of Cognitive Disorders and Dementia from the Public Health PerspectiveIm Kontext der globalen Bevölkerungsalterung nimmt die Bedeutung von Demenz als öffentliches Gesundheitsproblem zu [1]. Im Jahr 2050 wird mehr als jeder fünfte Mensch der Weltbevölkerung 60 Jahre und älter sein – das sind mehr als doppelt so viele wie heute [2]. Dann wird die Zahl älterer Menschen die der Kinder weit übertreffen [3].
