Das australische Konzept der Palliativphasen in der deutschen Versorgungspraxis

Das Konzept Palliativphasen gewinnt zunehmend an Bedeutung im palliativmedizinischen Versorgungskontext. Immer mehr klinische Teams, sowohl ambulant als auch stationär, nutzen die Palliativphasen zur Einordnung und Beschreibung ihrer Patient*innen. Des Weiteren sind die Palliativphasen Bestandteil des Datensatzes des nationalen Hospiz- und Palliativregisters. Aktuell finden sie zudem Anwendung im Innovationsfonds-geförderten Forschungsprojekt COMPANION (s. Infobox), dessen primäres Ziel die Entwicklung einer Komplexitäts- und Case-Mix-Klassifikation zur Beschreibung und Einordnung von Palliativpatient*innen entsprechend der Komplexität und des Ressourcenbedarfs ist.
