Pleuraerguss beim Pferd – Teil 2: Therapie, Prognose und Prävention

Wird ein Pferd mit einem Pleuraerguss vorgestellt, handelt es sich oft um einen intensivmedizinischen Notfall. Daher ist bei einem Pleuraerguss neben der Therapie der Primärerkrankung zunächst die allgemeine Stabilisierung des Patienten vorrangig. Generell ist während der Therapie auf eine optimale Pflege, Ernährung, Hydratation und ein regelmäßiges Monitoring zu achten.
