Galphimia glauca Cav.,der Kleine Goldregen

Galphimia glauca Cav., Kleiner Goldregen (Malpighiaceae), ist eine in Mexiko endemische Pflanze, die seit präkolumbianischer Zeit therapeutisch verwendet wird. Neben antiallergischen Wirkungen zeigt die Blattdroge auch anxiolytische und sedative Effekte, die in mehreren klinischen Studien bestätigt werden konnten. Für diese pharmakologische Aktivität werden v. a. Galphimine (Nor-seco-Triterpene) verantwortlich gemacht. Relevante toxische Effekte wurden bei der Anwendung nicht beobachtet.

Abstract

Galphimia glauca Cav., Rain of Gold

Galphimia glauca, rain of gold (Malpighiaceae) is a plant endemic to Mexico that has been used therapeutically since pre-Columbian times. In addition to antiallergic effects, the leaf drug also shows anxiolytic and sedative effects, which have been confirmed in several clinical studies. Galphimines (nor-seco triterpenes) are mainly responsible for this pharmacological activity. Relevant toxic effects were not observed during use.
