Modifizierte Atkins Diät bei therapierefraktärer Epilepsie
Die modifizierte Atkins Diät (MAD) wird schon seit langem als Zusatztherapie bei therapie-refraktärer Epilepsie eingesetzt. Allerdings liegen bislang nur belastbare Daten für den Einsatz bei Kindern mit Epilepsie vor. Daher wurden in dieser prospektiven, randomisierten, kontrollierten Studie untersucht, ob die Kombination von MAD mit einer anfallssuppressiven Medikation (ASM) effektiver als eine ASM alleine ist.
