Onkologische Erkrankungen beim Neugeborenen

Krebserkrankungen bei Neugeborenen unterscheiden sich von denen älterer Kinder in Häufigkeit, anatomischer Lage und klinischem Verhalten. Obwohl insgesamt selten, kommen sie durchaus vor und stellen dann wegen der besonderen Vulnerabilität der Patienten hohe Anforderungen an die Behandlung. Nicht wenige Tumoren entstehen pränatal als Ergebnis einer sporadisch verunglückten Gewebedifferenzierung oder einer genetisch determinierten Prädisposition.
