Abstract
Fibromyalgia is a complex condition involving both physical and psychological factors. In fibromyalgia, however, the psychological factors do not cause the disease itself, but rather can influence the course and severity of the symptoms. Comprehensive treatment therefore takes both medical and psychological aspects into account in order to ensure holistic care and support for people with fibromyalgia. Such treatment is interdisciplinary and involves a combination of integrative medicine therapy, psychological support and lifestyle modifications to achieve the best possible outcomes for the individual.
