Innovative Wundbehandlung mit Kaltplasma
Innovative Wound Treatment with Cold PlasmaDie Therapie akuter und chronischer Wunden stellt noch immer eine Herausforderung dar. Ein vielversprechender therapeutischer Ansatz ist die Anwendung von Kaltplasma. In diesem Beitrag wird gezeigt, wie die Kaltplasmatherapie zur Behandlung heilungsverzögerter Wunden erfolgreich eingesetzt werden kann.
Abstract
Despite numerous treatment options and scientific insights in the field of wound healing and wound care, the therapy of acute and chronic wounds remains a challenge. Chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous/arterial leg ulcers, and decubitus ulcers, are a significant burden on both patients and the healthcare system. New therapeutic approaches to improve wound healing are urgently needed. A promising option is the use of cold plasma in wound treatment. In recent years, this method has become increasingly important and has been the subject of several clinical trials. In February 2022, an S2k-guideline for the application of cold plasma was published. The Joint Federal Committee (G-BA) has also accepted an application to assess cold plasma therapy. In this article we present two case studies showing how cold plasma therapy can be successfully used to treat delayed wound healing.
