Angiologie gestern und heute: Gefäßsonografie und Katheterintervention

Der „Facharzt für Angiologie“ wurde 1992 in den Fächerkanon der Inneren Medizin eingeführt. In den Jahrzehnten davor waren die technischen Methoden in der Angiologie noch sehr beschränkt. Doch dann revolutionierten Duplexsonografie und endovaskuläre Katheter-Interventionen das diagnostische und therapeutische Spektrum. Heute sind die multiparametrische Gefäßsonografie und moderne Katheterverfahren integraler Bestandteil der Diagnostik und Therapie.

Abstract

The specialist in angiology was introduced into the discipline of internal medicine in 1992. In the previous decades, the technical methods in angiology were still very limited. However, duplex sonography and endovascular catheter interventions then revolutionized the diagnostic and therapeutic spectrum. Today, multiparametric vascular sonography and modern catheter procedures are an integral part of diagnostics and therapy.
