ESGE Research Grants: We are open for applications!

September 1, 2024 marks the opening of our call for research grant applications.

ESGE Research Grants support innovative, original research in gastroenterology. Potential contenders submit their research idea online. Our research committee reviews the applications and the top-rated proposals are selected. These applicants then take part in the ESGE Research Champions Den, at ESGE Days, where a jury of eminent researchers quiz the candidates, live. The best two or three are awarded research grants.

Dr Alvaro Martinez Alcala was one of three grant winners at ESGE Days 2024 to each be awarded €10,000; “Participating in the Research Champions’ Den has been a great experience and a unique opportunity to expose our work and disseminate it to a large audience. I definitely recommend participating, especially to young people who want to find an exceptional forum for their projects!”
